Designed around the landscape

This 80 m² holiday home in Vrådal, Norway, combines a simple timber structure with dark exterior cladding and a traditional grass roof. The large glazed gable brings natural light into the main living area and creates a direct connection with the landscape.

The open-plan interior brings the kitchen, dining and living areas together, making efficient use of the available space.

Simple materials, considered details

Natural timber, generous glazing and restrained architectural details give the house a contemporary character while maintaining a connection to traditional Norwegian cabin architecture.
